Up close and personal and what lovely shapes and colours. I want to open that door and see what's hidden beyond. Looking more closely, though, I see there might be a few prickles involved -- maybe this is someone's secret hideaway?
The colour and textures are gorgeous and beautifully offset by the dark green wooden door and fairly new looking metal hinge. It looks like the Holly (?) has found a way in! Great composition, Allison.
So many textures here. Sharp, splintery, glossy, the scritch of the screen. I especially like the way it's so clearly summer, yet the presence of the holly, a kind of subliminal reminder of cooler temps... and what's behind the door? Snow shovel? (Oh, sorry. Bad word. Going to wash my mouth out with soap now.)

ReplyDeleteThe colour combination here is absolutely perfect! And I really love pictures of gates or doors to somewhere unknown and enticing.
ReplyDeleteHi all, it's actually oregon grape growing there - we don't see much (or any holly here).
