A great (literally) and heartening image for the coming year, Allison -- that glorious sky, and a bridge ... not "too far" but certainly into hopeful experiences, well and truly "engineered". Great shot. I am going to take it as a very happy omen for the year to come.
There's a sense of the musical about this. Strings, guitar or fiddle frets... just out of sight, a great party about to begin. Suddenly remembering a wonderful festival of Acadian music in PEI a couple of years ago. Oh, the joy! The impossibility of keeping a foot still. That's what this puts me in mind of... all kinds of 'happy energy' just waiting to take place. Until then, strings taught, breath held, backstage nerves... Soon. A celebration is on its way.

ReplyDeleteLove the lines and angles of this bridge and the tower. Your pov is exceptional! Where is this?
ReplyDeleteIt's the Port Mann Bridge entering Vancouver, Cheryl. I looked up through the car window and was so struck by the elegance of the structure.
