  1. Gee Whiz -- WHAT a great shot and what a story. At first I was thinking you'd caught some industrial mishap at a peak moment -- but now I think the mishap is "culinary" sort of, or maybe not a mishap at all, just a good old ranch barbecue taking place with plenty of char-broiled patties on the far side? This is a prize-winner, Ms. AH!

  2. Thanks Barbara, this was actually at the farmer's market in Fredericton and the guy was barbequing up a mess 'o sausages.

  3. Love this! Oh, that smoke. What a moment you've caught. And the mostly monotone with that splash of red, and the guy's shirt... really great composition. Almost a doc feel. Makes me think of when I lived in Edmonton and some guy told me he liked his meat rare... "just walk the cow past the fire", he said.

  4. I wondered at first if this was something industrial, but then noticed the fellow's hat and plaid shirt and thought it was probably barbecue. Great composition -- and it's interesting that the huge barbecue takes centre stage with its impressive smoke and drips of grease. We only notice the "chef" second and he's a seemingly minor part of the shot.
