  1. Allison, that's BRRRRRFECT! Especially given our weather here today. What a great shot.

  2. Love it, Allison, the tones really add to the impact of the shot ... layer, upon layer of ice in the sea wash!

  3. Oh my! That's amazing and wonderful! What were they doing before they froze?

  4. Well, you KNOW I love this one because I have a copy on my wall.

I was taken by this one when I first saw it, and Allison ended up gifting me a print. I still find it sort of mesmerizing even after several years -- the way the figures (like little nymphs) seem frozen in place ( the one at left like she's dancing) with the ice draped around and over them. I like the contrast of stone and water, and yet the tones blend so well together.

  5. Medusa was about, apparently. At first I thought it was performance art! The ice is amazing! Are the figures life-size? I wonder if the sculptor considered winter when situating this?

  6. They're not life-size Sheila - a little more than half life-size I'd say. Good question - I don't know if the sculptor would have thought of that.
