It was a chilly rainy day in Chicago and I think the bride was absolutely freezing. We were warm and dry inside the Museum of Modern Art and I happened to look out the window to see this.
Oh, I love this shot. What a delightful capture -- the postures of the photographer and his subjects, especially the woman, looking coy. Talk about timing -- you got the umbrella just at the right angle so we see her profile. It almost looks posed -- by you, I mean -- though I know it's not. I also love the monochrome -- the blacks and greys, and the rain-shiny sidewalk. Just lovely.
