  1. "Calder in the Wild"??? Well too "upright" of course, but there is a lovely Calderish "mobile" quality about this, and how singing the colours are against that blue sky. This is joyous. And so springlike. It makes one think ahead to days of sun and icy drinks in tall glasses, and just plain fun. Thank you!

  2. This was in New Orleans, Barbara, where all kinds of fun things bounce around in the sky!

  3. But of course, those magical, sky high toy and New Orleans! These look as effervescent as the Zydeco music played heard in every Bourbon Street bar and restaurant on hand made, exotic instruments. The most scrumptious meal had on our trip there was layers of sweet potato mash and red fish with dirty rice on the side at the Red Fish Grill.

  4. The sky was made for this sculputure! And vice versa. I love this kind of public whimsy! Smiling as I type...

  5. Playful, colourful, striking against the blue sky. Wow, what pretty sculptures. All sorts of crazy shapes and angles and boingy bits, but they're flowers, no? That's what they look like to me. How could you see these creations and not smile (or take a picture!).

  6. Oh my! Doesn't it kind of make you want to make something like that, paint it in bright colours, hang it up against a clear blue sky and sing some Cajun music?
