How perfect for the day ... and thought-provoking. I'm curious about the hand -- is it part of a larger sculpture? It's so lifelike. Anything related to war or remembrance, or did you put the two together? Or maybe you discovered the poppy there? I look forward to hearing more!
This brings to mind so many questions: what is the hand emerging from? What does it represent? Who put the poppy there? The first one, in particular, is intriguing me. The colours and composition are perfect too.
The hand is a small sculpture we have in our house (just a cheap plaster thing) which I've always loved. I was just sitting there, trying to think of a way to create a Remembrance Day photo and walked around with my poppy trying out various things and this is what worked best for me.
