  4. This is utterly charming, and so creative. Do you know the person who did this? And was it one person who started it and others added to it? (There's a tree on the way to Beaverton, on Lake Simcoe, to the trunk of which people over time have nailed shoes. It's amusing, but teacups are so much prettier. It's like they've actually grown there.) I'd be interested in knowing more about whoever had the original idea.
