Golly, I was thinking we might have the start of a theme of "abandonment" between us, Ms. AH --- but Ms. Wunderkamera's lovely sharing of a merry moment nixed that! What a poignant shot, yours, PhotoAlly. Reminds me of that movie The Last Picture Show. I can't make out the writing on the fine yellow abandoned car, but I have fond memories of those wonderful finny gas-guzzlers and wild teenage drives in a yellow Buick of the same vintage belonging to a mother of a friend who was crazy enough to let us drive it one summer.
A gorgeous composition, the desolate feel of the surroundings amid those splashes of colour: red, blue, yellow... but for me, what makes it is that 'Lemon Cab Company' on the door of the car. It's almost like a joke but we know it isn't, which just makes it all the more poignant. You win story, I'd say. This is a dilly of a prompt. Where was it taken? The adobe makes me think New Mexico?

What a great memory Barbara! This is somewhere along Route 66 (and I think is actually an informal art installation). It says 'Lemon Taxi':)
