You can't fool me, Ms. H -- I'm gonna EAT this, not hang it in the window from that fake brown "string" off to the lower left. It looks yummy. I haven't had breakfast. I will suffer the consequences gladly. (Great, strange, mysterious shot -- but I happen to know what a terrific cook you are!)
Well I can't wait to hear what this is because my first thought was a funky little scoby but that's probably because I just made another batch of kombucha the other day. Oh, wait!! Chocolate crepe??? Whatever the case, I LOVE your eye, that you found this at all is the thing. Fun. And weird, as promised... (:
Ha, ha, I was part way through making cornmeal muffins and I had to add molasses to milk and oil and I couldn't get over the fun pattern the molasses made as it trickled into the bowl (not edible at this stage).
Ah! I thought it was one of those weird gelatinous Chinese puddings that I adore but apparently most westerners can't bear. Anyway, cornmeal muffins sound good too, in a totally different kind of way (and "mouth feel"). And very imaginative photography!

ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it was some elaborate polenta dish ... love the jazzy molasses squiggles.
