Nice perspective. I like the slight blurred bits, as if there's more to come, it's not *all* here yet. And as if we need reminding, that ominous (fickle indeed) sky. What blossoms are these? Cherry? (Says the girl from Niagara; I should know this...)
Pure delicate beauty, Allison. It gives me a feeling I'm finding hard to track down; some childhood memory? Or a piece of embroidered silk? Or both? Very very lovely, and somehow oriental. "Sakura" in the making.
Such a delicate pattern of rosy red buds, the composition almost like a Japanese painting. But what really makes it is the bit of blue at left and the unexpected contrast of the ominous cloud. Is the cloud moving in or moving off? Maybe how we see it depends on whether we're glass is half full or half empty?
What a lovely composition, Allison. The dark and light side of fickle spring weather as a backdrop to Nature's perseverence despite the elements.

ReplyDeleteThis is a Red Bud tree, Carin - it gets lovely red leaves next.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely connection to childhood... (That you've mentioned embroidered silk, I can see it now. A dress, with a mandarin collar.)
DeleteYes, I love that Barbara - it does look like a silk painting.

ReplyDeleteThere was that lovely mix Allyson, the dark sky receding, the blue sky taking over, but then sunset soon to follow.
ReplyDeleteLike a perfectly composed piece of brocade. So delicate and lovely!
