  1. Is this in Chinatown? I think of these as Chinese colours for some reason. And there is something about the architecture too. Anyway, great angle -- great angles plural -- and all in all a very satisfying shot (and do I catch a whiff of dim-sum around the corner?)

  2. Love the muted tones and the repetition in geometric shapes, Allison.

  3. Love this, and I'll tell you why. I don't know if it's a factory, but it makes me think of factories of a certain vintage. They seem to have these sort of windows, ones that let the light in but not anything distracting, like a view. I grew up in a factory town and am fascinated by the architecture... the small places, the zipper and button factories, the way neighbourhoods were built around them and how those 'hoods always included a bar and a corner store. The image of men (usually men) coming home for lunch, staggering home on payday... rolling pins and arguments on the street. Oh my. Well, you've sparked my imagination, whatever this is a pic of. And for that I doff my hat in your direction...

  4. This is in Chinatown in Vancouver, but I'm not sure of the building's original use. There were at one time, many private clubs in Chinatown which this may have been.
