Mmmmmm so lovely!!! I love the gloriously ruffled smile of the top one -- and the calm beauty of the ones below, against the solidity of the rocks. Not to mention the fact that they are all singing (in unison!) Oh Canada!!!
Beautiful, Allison ... didn't realize they look so 'spiny' from the pov above. Exotic.
The top one looks as though it has something to say... (:Gorgeous shot. What a clever thing you are to take it from that angle. May we crown you Tulip Queen?
I've never seen these Canadian ones up close and didn't realize that from the top they look almost feathered at the edges. In fact, I didn't even realize at first that it was a tulip, till I saw the photo below. They're so bright and delicate against that solid rock wall.
The top photo is stunning. The blurred purple and shades of blue and green in the background just set off the scarlet and ivory clarity of the tulip perfectly.
PS And yes, I am a flowery friend this week - we have a theme going on!
Oh, just to clarify everyone, they are two different tulips - they came in the same Canada Day lot, but clearly are very different!
