  1. Expo '67? I recognize the skirts. Mine was orange and green. (:

Love the innocence captured here. Talk about nostalgia...

    1. Mine was a green background with pink and blue flowers - had totally forgotten about that skirt.

    2. There were Expo 67 skirts?? I went to Expo 67 but I never got a skirt! Or a photo with a Mountie. But I got a Russian doll and glass bangles from India and ate shrimp chips for the first time and saw Princess Grace of Monaco.
Anyway, gorgeous perfect iconic photo, Allison!

  2. Terrific Allison. I am thinking this is during your family's "Ottawa Days"? Looking forward to the story!

  3. What a fun photo. And how many of these have been taken over the decades, with the Mounties looking dashing and the tourists as bookends in dress of passing trends! This is the 60s? I recognize that Centennial symbol behind you -- I think that's you at left? -- because my parents bought me a pendant in 1967 (I still have it) of that icon with the various triangles in different colours of enamel.

  4. An attractive trio. So fresh. So young. So happy. That uniform still makes my heart flutter. Don't think I ever got that close to one, Allison!
