Have a look at my Wordless Friends:

  1. What a colourful and rhythmic shot! Is this in Mexico? The colours suggest that it is. I'm having trouble figuring out what the "tables" or "stools" are situated there for, but I love the feeling this gives!

    1. Barbara, it's typical of places in Mexico where restaurants simply take over the street for their restaurant seating. It does mean that the odd car kind of grazes your shoulder!

  2. Love the contrast in shapes, mostly primary colours and touchable textures in this shot, Allison. Beautifully seen and captured!

  3. All squares and rectangles and that one white swoop of diagonal railing makes it a really beautiful composition! And I love that this is an outdoor 'patio' of sorts, with complementary shoulder grazing. The way the tables are wonkily standing on the road. Tell me you sat here!

  4. Ooops. I meant 'complimentary'. Although the other works too in a way... (don't tell you-know-who!)

  5. I'm in love with this one, Allison -- the composition, the bold yellow and blue (taken in Mexico?), the unexpected pattern of something so everyday as stools. What is the floor made of? How perfect that the blue's echoed in the posts and trim above. I'd hang this one on my wall. Interesting, though, that the stools aren't at a counter. Do you know why they're lined up there?

  6. The taller ones are tables, I think - ? Zig-zag, up & down, steps & stools, nice verticals contained by a horizontal, a diagonal thrown in, and great colours!
